Ordering & Delivery Information

This page details our delivery methods and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. In placing an order on our website, you agree to our Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Free Postage Over £75 Offer

This is a time-limited offer and we reserve the right to withdraw it at any time. Offer is valid on the first parcel only up to a maximum weight of 30kgs. Subsequent parcels will be chargeable at the appropriate rate.

Collections

You may arrange your own courier to collect parcels from us, or you could pick up in person at our warehouse: The Bag N Box Man Ltd, Unit 30, Station Yard Industrial Estate, Adderbury, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX17 3HJ. Please call us beforehand to arrange collection by courier or in-person.

Closures

We do not work evenings, weekends, or bank holidays. Between Christmas and New Year we shut for an extended period to recover from the Christmas rush. There may be times when the weather or other events such as accidents or roadworks affect us from physically being able to make it to the offices and warehouse. Whenever possible, we will display any planned or unplanned closures on our website.

When we are closed – we are not able to respond to emails, letters, or phone calls – and will process any orders or communications the next working day in order of receipt.

Availability

All of our products are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. You will be given the option to cancel, wait for stock replenishment, or be assisted in choosing an alternative.

Our Couriers

The courier may send you a tracking number and / or a planned delivery date or even a time slot – depending on the service you choose on the checkout page.

When we hand the orders over to the courier, the responsibility of delivery lies with the courier. If the courier has any issues in reaching you, they should inform you by leaving a card or contacting you with the details you gave us when the order was placed. We will give your mobile phone number and / or email address to the relevant courier so that they can contact you regarding your delivery. They will not use your details for any other reason.

We use a combination of Royal Mail and Parcelforce for delivering our orders. As with any courier, they are sometimes at the mercy of the weather, strikes, or other events. When this happens your order may be delayed. For more information on Parcelforce delivery speed exceptions, please see the Parcelforce website.

Responsibility Of Delivery Service

  • Once the parcel has been handed over to our couriers the responsibility of delivery lies with them. we have no control once the item has left our premises.
     
  • Damage in transit: We do our utmost to ensure that the goods you buy from us are packaged as well as they can be in order to last the journey. However, accidents can happen and in the rare cases where a parcel arrives damaged, we will make a claim on your behalf to Parcelforce and resend the goods to you unless otherwise agreed.

Standard Postage

When we receive your order, we aim to dispatch your goods the next working day, sooner if possible, on a 48 hour service. The time for delivery depends on your location.

From the Royal Mail website “We aim to deliver your letters and parcels in two or three working days, including Saturdays”.

Therefore, if your delivery is more urgent, you may wish to choose Express Delivery on the checkout page.

Please note we cannot ship to a PO Box, please provide a full residential or business postal address. It is your responsibility to ensure you have entered the correct delivery address on the shipping page at the checkout and payment stage, or provided us with the correct details over the phone.

Please note that if there is a failed delivery due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided we reserve the right to charge the appropriate “return to sender” fee.

Express Delivery

When selecting this option on the checkout process, we may send your items either by Royal Mail 24 or Parcelforce 24, depending on the weight of your items. From the Royal Mail website regarding 1st class post (our Express service for items under 2kg): “Although we aim to deliver 93% of 1st Class mail the next working day after posting, we are unable to provide a guaranteed service.” In our experience, most Royal Mail items are delivered without delay.

Please note that all parcels sent via Parcelforce require a signature, and will not automatically be left without a signature.

When we receive your order, we will dispatch your goods the same working day (if ordered by 12 noon). If you order after 12 noon, or on a bank holiday or on a day when we are closed, we will dispatch the next working day. The time for delivery depends on your location.

Oversized Items

For large, oversized items (as defined by Parcelforce),we will only allow the item(s) to be sent by “48 Hour Large” – this would then be the only shipping option presented to you on the checkout page. This service can take up to 3 working days for customers in the Highlands and Islands. Not available outside of the UK. Extended Delivery Times for some UK Zones

International Deliveries

For our International customers we have various options available to you on the checkout page. Currently, we ship to: Republic Of Ireland but hope to rollout to other countries very soon.

We have checked with Irish and British Customs Officials directly who have confirmed that our goods are not currently subject to VAT, import duties, tarrifs or other surcharges. We believe this information is correct as at July 2022 and have confirmed this with at least one test shipment.

With this in mind, if the rules changes or new legislation comes in, if you refuse a parcel because there are duties, fees or other charges to pay, we reserve the right to charge a restocking fee. Please check with your local customs officials if you want to be sure.

Christmas and Black Friday

Every courier struggles at times to cope with the demands of these busy periods, and as a result there may be times when your order is delayed by no fault of our own. Please understand that we do our best to dispatch your orders as we normally do to our promised timescales, and it is very rare that we fail to make these deadlines. Any delay incurred as a result of a third party failing to meet their deadlines is beyond our control and responsibility, but we will do our utmost to assist you in the event of a problem.
